No I meant Brazos actually. Zacate is the laptop variant of Brazos which is the desktop.

I believe they all have the same Bobcat core, but will have different clocks, cache pools, and chipsets.

I am not sure why people think SB is used in server applications. Most enterprise grade servers are either Blade servers using POWER processors, or use a variant of the Xeon processor. SB would have no real advantage in server applications because it has too many features servers do not use, and the Xeon comes with far more robust and low latency IO.

AMDs problem isn't in the product, it is in the anti-competitive nature of the deals Intel swings with the various makers. It took me a long time to finally find an AMD based Netbook. It was entirely worth the wait, the NEO processor with Radeon graphics that has actual memory is vastly superior to any of the Atom stuff coupled with the vastly inferior GMA integrated graphics garbage. But the AMD based stuff is indeed difficult to find, outside of some HP trash using Vision. Vision really makes GMA look excellent, especially on HPs inferior grade products.

AMD can win, even if Bulldozer doesn't entirely blow SB out of the water, because it will have a better price point, will be more stable, and has a chance of beiung coupled to an actual working chipset. SB is simply overpriced, overhyped, and is little more than a reheat of the obsolete i5/i7 stuff that Intel really needs to leave behind because they are looking stodgy.

If you mean iGPU performance then you didn't really make that distinction if your post.
I meant the ULV i3 and in apps that a owner of a Fusion or Core i3 netbook is likely to actually use.

You do realize the Xeon chips are better binned versions of the same desktop chips with a different chipset? There's probably Sandy Bridge based Xeons around and if there isn't now, there will be by the time Bulldozer is out.

No Intel is good in performance because Intel's dual and quad core processors are the king of the heap. In particular, the companies Core 2 Duo/Quad processor lineup is out-pacing AMDs current Athlon64 X2/FX processor families. That may indeed change by the end of Q4'07, or it may not.

Um... that's Zacate/Ontario, the netbook competitor.
That's not the full-scale Llano.
