I feel that CL should add a disclaimer to the SMA8: "WARNING: by purchasing this case, you're obligated to insert dual loops with two phatty tube reservoirs prominently displayed in the main chamber." tongue.gif

Why don't you ask them to build you one? I mean after all, that's what they did for me, since they weren't even advertised for SM8 at the time (2012).
Also regardless of what others post, my platform did not come with castors...I originally bought the smaller set from CL and they were actually too small so I ordered the larger set.

The loop should be compatible for use with Aurora still, low restriction rads and removing jet plate for CPU block.
Having said that though, I also recall Mick saying that for the Evo block it was OK to even leave the jet plate in (don't quote me on that though)
So it seems improvements have been made, given the info posted by Mick himself in response to questions about it longevity.

Heck, it might even have been TCO who was asking the questions tongue.gif

It was I who was asking the questions to Mick about the Aurora. The Deal was that I wasn't satisifed with the Orange pastel I ran in the SMA8 at first. So He was going to send me a blitz kit that never showed. In Lue of that I asked at one point for the Aurora. To disprove the Theory that is going around of a "Couple Month" Lifespan. I was sent two Bottles from the UK for my S3.

That is Correct.

I even asked Mick about removing the Jet plate and or J Insert in order to not disturb the particles in which he Replied to something of the nature of "Leave It all" thumb.gif

Well, hey, if you wanna go for it, go for it. I wasn't aware there was an Aurora 2, so my stance came from the point of view that the previous edition was known to cause damage over prolonged use.

Good luck, hope we aren't seeing a post late on about a fried pump and Armageddon in your build, lol wink.gif

Yea,

From what Mick has said, TCO's little S3 build is about as good a candidate for getting a real world baseline for the newer aurora as you're gonna get.

Generally, being small, simple, and very low restriction.

Sure, you could uniquely design a build so that it specifically tries to work around aurora's traditional weaknesses, but then that wouldn't offer much of a real world baseline.

If he's using a PWM pump with an Aquaero, then using startup boost at max for 15 to 30 seconds or so, should be all that's needed to get everything back to normal automatically at every startup.

Perhaps, unless too much settles in the pump, which is likely due to pumps typically being one of the lowest points in the build.

I'd just hate to see a 100 dollar pump get burned.

Ya CL should do that lol. I'm using soft tubing in it...first time build, learned some things...will re-do the loops when it's maintenance time.

That makes two of Us. Although if the Pump burns up.... which I hope @IT Diva is correct of the max start up fix there, that I don't have to replace it.

The monsterITX reboot is finally taking shape. Pump will sit in the divider space between the main compartment and the SSD bracket area. This will allow a straight run from the res to the pump allowing for a 250mm res.
