I would say the S2 over the Atrix and stay away from IPhone it is the most locked down lock you in handset solution I have ever seen.

The S2 has 1080p resolution on a super AMOLED screen that is like 10X better than that crap Atrix. I would say if you don't decide on either I would wait till june to get a good play of the field. I would say a phone that has a software qwerty keyboard is android 2.3 with full 1080p super AMOLED screen and a mini-HDMI out. With a 800x600 display. I know that is probably asking for too much this year.

The reason why I say don't even think about windows/apple phones is because they both lock in their phones and their UI. You cannot change out things like android can. You don't like the keyboard change it, you don't like the web browser change it. You would be lucky to after jumping through hoops to even get the jailbroken IPhone to use a non-default UI without it crashing everyday!

One thing I saw today is that Acer is getting into the tablet/smartphone market might be worth seeing what they have. I would also like to add stay away from the 4g phones because it won't be ready for like 2 years after this summer. You will most likely have to pay more for a 4g phone that you still use 3g on for at least another year. When I mean 4g i mean HSPA+/LTE crap.

Smartphones are the fastest moving electronics by far, GPUs are probably #2.

I don't think anyone is going to be doing a 800x600 phone display (4:3?!). I would have liked to have seen the S2 have a 960x540 screen res. Even though the LCD on the Atrix isn't the highest quality (PenTile), its 960x540 screen res is pretty nice.

IPhone 5 has that hideous slideout keyboard in the prototype, but will probably have top-tier specs like Atrix and Galaxy S2. Dell Streak 2 (Opus One possibly?) isn't for sure even in existence, and no one really gives a half damn about the rest of what's on the market?
iPhone 5 won't have a keyboard, unless apple decides to give options, and have multiple models.

Screen won't happen. qHD is next, and better.

You realize many 4G markets are live, and many more within a year?

Also, to people recommending the iPhone.

-At least 4GB of onboard storage, preferrably expandable by MicroSD.
Cannot do everything on the "need" list.
