HDMI issues

Thread Starter
So I just went out and got this HDMI cable to connect my 6870 to my http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236112 <its a pretty nice monitor>

Problem is though once I set the monitor to HDMI and turn on the computer the full display is not showing. I checked my resolution and its set to 1920 X 1080 but for some reason an inch on both sides and about 3/4 in on the top and bottom are not showing up. Anyone know whats going on here? Would very much like to use the whole screen lol. Thanks in advance for the help.

Go into CCC.

Find the setting for overscan, and it will be a slider bar, just move it till the screen fits.

This!

I'm back on Nvidia temporarily so I cant remember the steps to get to the overscan settings in CCC, but its there. Common problem and easy fix. Its just kind've buried so its hard to find.

Get to the screen that has the displays shown as icons at the bottom of the window, then right-click on the icon that represents your active display and click settings. Then there should be a tab for overscan or similar. Adjust the slider accordingly. Then save or whatever.

I had to do this everytime I updated driver on my HD4200, it was connected to a 32" LCD HDTV.
