Killing Floor

Thread Starter
I have an extra copy and willing to give it a way to whoever gives me the best answer for these questions.
1. Pls recommend me some games that support dual monitor.
2. How to game at 5120x1600 resolution? (dual 30"), I've been searching but yielding no result so I hope you have an idea.
3. Is it possible to stretch my desktop over to 2 monitors? Not just the extend display option since I already know that, I'm just wondering if it's possible to extend the image and taskbar to the 2nd monitor.

If there are multiple possible winners then I'll randomly pick.

Quake 4- maybe
left 4 dead 1-2, i've seen people run it in multi-screens
Most of valve's games support it/widescreen.

some of these games only work in span though or forced to run in multi-monitors/ or runned in windowed mode. Games like SUPCOM seem like they're made for multis, as one screen is the tact map and the other the game. So yeah, it depends on the game.
To be honest, most games aren't released with multi in mind, just one screen. widescreen as well but valve recently made widescreen quite most popular ( hl1 widescreen support and whatnot ).

For your resolution, this might help.

If you want to game with dual monitors, make sure the games have multimonitor support. I believe counter strike may have that but I haven't played that in a while. But really, it all depends on the game in most cases. If they don't support your resolution, you can probably go and manually force it to change it's resolution in your files. Unless you or I have some degree of programming skill, I doubt it will be possible to force such a change, no offense whatsoever. OR some games DO support..with ratios and the like. 16:10, 16:#, etc, etc, etc
It also depends on your graphics card. 256mb may be a little too low...so having something of new age would be better to support it. http://www.ubuntu.com/ supports that kind of resolution if your in need of any os. But considering your gaming with that kind of resolution, your going to need a card wwith a LOT of horsepower. However, I don't really know your system specs. I'm assuming your running both monitors at 2560x1600? Even at that..you'd need an uber rig. One game comes to mind, crysis. That game seems to push system specs to the max..so I wouldn't be surprised if it supported your resolution already. 1920 x 1200 is supported in quite a few games, 2560x1600 - i wouldn't be that surprised if there were more than a few.

http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/ programs like this can probably help you game at that kind of resolution better.

If you want me to, I can look up and pm you everything I learn ;].

And yes, its possible.
http://lifehacker.com/#!317479/make-...-dual-monitors
If i would have to guess, it's probably in your windows control panal.
If you don't see the link in there. http://www.mediachance.com/free/multimon.htm for taskbar /etc.

http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

http://www.winsplit-revolution.com/ - for resizing etc

- Extend the Taskbar Across Monitors
- Desktop Pinups and Overlays

Also, did you install the drivers for the card and the dual monitor support drivers by any chance?

Hope I helped
Two screens are pretty cool! If your drunk, you'll see four! isn't that amazing? ;]]]

BFBC2, SupCom, FSX, Dirt2, Burnout Paradise, World in Conflict and TF2 are some games that support it.

5120x1600 shouldn't be an issue but for a game like BFBC2, some say you need to force the game to DX9 to reach that res (although I'm not sure if that's true or not).

For stretching the task-bar, try MultiMon - it's a good utility for mutli-displays.
