Any updates for better overclock capability?

Thread Starter
I have an Asus M4A79XTD Evo, and was wondering if anyone else who had one (or even who doesn't) knew of a BIOS update that could increase overclockability.

I've looked, but I'm too afraid of destroying my set-up by downloading and installing something I shouldn't, so I'm just wondering if there's any definite update or simple change to be made that will let me get further on overclocking with my AMD Phenom II x4 970 Black Edition, or that 4.0GHz is as far as I'll be able to get without instability.

I realize that overclockability depends on the CPU itself, but I'm curious to see if there's one of those CPU compatibility updates that allows for a more stable overclocking experience as well.

I know about disabling Cool N' Quiet, C1E, etc.

Thanks!

I'll look along the lines of those and see what I can find. There are a few CPU compatibility updates for it, but I don't know if I'm already updated to those or if they'll even remotely help overclockability.

It obviously won't be difficult to see if I'm updated that far, but I'll have to see exactly what those updates do.
