Cheapest i5/i7 combo? You know the Intel Core i7-940?

Thread Starter
I would like to know the cheapest i5/i7 combo, I'm selling my mobo/cpu/ram in my sig for $280. I can go overbudget by like $80-100 IF ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. What's the best combination I can get while being on budget? Sort of looking for SLI/Crossfire. Also considering both LGA 1156/1366...

Also, I have a question ---
You know the Intel Core i7-940? I am here to see it, so expensive! ! ! For 930 \\ 950, it has any special features?
Thanks!

if you have a microcenter near you you can grab a i7-950 for $200 and there are ~$200 dollar boards online.
1156 socket processors can be found from ~175-300 online and boards vary in price upwards of $100
