Sorry, but, I disagree, Let me rephrase: You don't care about this game. A lot of people, including myself do care about this game because of the fond memories we had of playing Duke3D. Also, this is the DNF discussion thread, so, why are you bringing crysis into this? DNF isn't out to be the most graphically intensive game either, so, they shouldn't be compared. Also, really who cares, it's about the gameplay and from what I've seen, it's gonna rock and bring back the original Duke3D feeling. I can't wait biggrin.gif

I assure you many people do care about this game.
Crytek stomped them to the ground? Crysis in an entirely different type of gameplay, I fail to see what Crysis had to do with Duke Nukem. Duke Nukem came out long before Crysis and was a very successful game.

Duke Nukem Forever: Hands On

Duke Nukem Forever: Hands On (No, We Mean It)

Two years ago, if we had said in public that we had actually played Duke Nukem Forever, we probably would have been hit with furious eye-rolling, gales of corrosive laughter, a punch in the face—or most likely all three. An ongoing joke in the gaming industry for over a decade now, the game was announced in 1997 and has been subjected to one of the most painful and prolonged development cycles of any piece of entertainment anywhere, ever. (It's taken first place five times in Wired's annual Vaporware Awards, and even earned a coveted Lifetime Achievement honor.)

But now two things have happened that, even as late as last year, we would never have expected: Duke Nukem Forever has been granted a release date of May 3, and... we've actually played it.

ESRB's description of Duke Nukem Forever is hilarious

Quote:
The first part of the massive paragraph mentions the "over-the-top instances of violence," which involves sequences like "aliens getting stabbed in the head or impaled; a human soldier bursting into bloody gibs after being tossed through propeller blades." Not surprisingly, more than half of the summary addresses the game's sexual content, and the descriptive text reads almost like crappy paperback novel -- or really good fanfiction.

Imagine a dry voice reading these words to you:
Quote:
A couple of missions within this level require players to recover sex toys and pictures of topless women. A few sequences strongly imply sexual acts: two women appear to perform fellatio on the central character (e.g., raising their heads from his lap)—though there is no actual depiction of the sex act; Duke moans and leans up against the wall of a bathroom stall (furnished with a hole)—it is implied that a sex act (not depicted) occurs. The game also contains several sexual references and innuendo in the dialogue (e.g., 'I have hungry—you have big egg ro' for me, Duke,' 'If you supply the dancing, I'll supply the pole,' and 'I'll need something naughty to play with.'). Duke's comments range from jokes about colon cleansing to several one-liners about sex and female body parts.
