i like the graphics. if they used something like cry engine 3, i think it would be dumb. keep the slight cartoonish look to duke. its perfect

i bit the bullet and grabbed it, the start is a little painful to get into as it just seems to drag. i also at first hated Dukes voice, but its growing on me. ill be honest its far from the best game ive ever played but its also far from the worst. im still playing it so it cant be that bad as if a game doesnt grab me right away i tend to put it down and wont touch it again.

graphically, sure its no Crysis 2 but it really doesnt need to be. it still feels like Duke Nukem which is the part about it love the most, they havent tried to be over innovative with it which works in its favour imo. it plays fine on my mid range system, no stuttering/slow down and everything is on ultra on my 24" screen. i came into it reading all the terrible reviews and didnt expect much but it HAS exceeded my expectations so im not bummed i bought it.

yes the zoom function is pointless, but having down scope views is also kind of pointless, this is NOT a war sim game this is Duke Nukem, he flips people off and shoots from the hip.

This game kicks ass. I never played Duke 3D, but this game is badass. Only problems are that some things drag on too long, and the game freezes. The graphics could be better, but they are adequate.

If that's true they should quit making games, and i honestly feel sorry for the ones who waited this long for this game. Might actually buy it when it gets to $10, but I've never been a duke fan and never will be. Funniest part was when you're in his place getting a BJ and then he pulls up the xbox 360 controller. I mean really? seriously? I mean 12-15 years you'd think they would of had him use PS3 controller on PS3 version, and mouse and keyboard on PC version like that did with the xbox 360 version.
You're complaining about crap that doesn't matter.
Also, if you didn't pay for it good for you but don't come in here to whine about it. Also, get your facts straight. It did take 12+ years for the game to release but that doesn't mean they've been working on it non stop for 12 years.

While I'm disappointed in the overall result, it's true to the original Duke Nukem 3D. If this game had come out like 2 years after DN3D, it would have made a bigger hit for sure.

Gameplay is not Duke. Level design is not Duke. Only having 2 weapons at once is not Duke. Even the sound effects in Duke3D are better.

Did you notice how its the current TOP seller for steam? Interesting...As well as for metacritic, brink is lower by 5 points, but I also very much enjoy that game as well :/

After finishing it (don't ask where I got it) all I can say is STAY AWAY...don't waste your hard earned money on this turd.

The graphics are truly horrible, you feel as if you have miopia when looking around, there's a constant fog covering the low res textures. My GPU barely hit 80% usage.

You can only carry 2 weapons and most of them sound like toys. Only the rocket launchers and the shotgun pack some punch.

The gameplay is extremely dumbed down, linear and boring. The only challenge in boss fights is not falling asleep...It has a few notable missions (like the one where you're the size of a rat running around in a kitchen trying to save a chick) but most of them drag way too much. The jokes are OK and there are quite a few references to other games/movies like Dead Space or Inception but there's 0 incentive to go back and replay it.

Duke nukem forever rocks I love it! I don't know why everyone is complaining about. Though, about the only complain I have is the AI. They are way too damn easy to beat. The graphics? Well you can't say much because it was made 12 years ago, so pretty good attempt.
