Multiple Bsod's

Thread Starter
My system was working just fine until a month ago, it started crashing from time to time specially after the welcome screen but it just took a couple of resets to fix it, but now i get a bsod every time it loads windows.

Safe mode doesn't work, and it crashes in both OS vista and windows 7 (i have both installed). I suspect it is a hardware failure but i want to know how to proceed to identify it.

My errors are

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION.

Temps are normal, i applied Thermal paste again, updated my bios.

I had IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL for a long time in the past. After much trial & error, reading etc, that BSOD is always directly caused by software.

Turns out for me it was bad drivers, after a rollback they went away completely. After a quick search SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION is basically the same thing.

What ATI driver version are you using? I had tons of problems with 11.1/11.a.. display crashes, huge FPS dips, etc. After reformatting after many attempts to solve what 11.1 caused, I went back to 10.12 and everything went back to normal.

What are the codes that went with the BSOD?
To narrow down what driver failed.

I Believe i'm using 10.4 because of OpenGL problems in some games i play in the newer versions, i will try my old 8800GT to see if it my card is the problem. I cant rollback because i can't use windows for more than 10 seconds, in vista it will allow me to play a song or 2 but that's it.

Definitely graphics drivers.

Roll back or update, depends on your current version obviously.
