Oc voltage help

Thread Starter
i have over clocked my athlon 2 x4 640 to 3.750GHZ i can get it to 3.8 but i cant seem to stabilize it im not sure if i need more voltage or to lower it current spec
250X15
cpu clock 3750mhz
Dram 1000mhz
Cpu V 1.55/1.56
idle temps around 30-40c
under load-45-52c according to fox one
(labeled OC 1)

any way is it safe to change the ram from 800mhz to 1000mhz in the bios original ram speed before OC -1333MHZ
also for my 3.8ghz oc these or the spec
256/257X15 (one of the two)
cpu clock 3825mhz
voltage same as OC 1 some times a little more
temps roughly the same as OC 1
(OC 2)

how would i get OC 2 stable and could i increase my ram speed in bios from 800 to 1000 or just leave ram as it is

im using a Hyper TX3 push and pull cooler so that keeps my temperatures within operating limits

any help is appreciated
thanks craig overclocker in training

also the chip set has a crappy little cooler that some times over heats would it be any better if i removed that and attached the now redundant stock cpu cooler to it using double sided thermal tape to keep it nice and cool with the fan running at max speed just a thought any way thanks

set your ram to auto, so that it automatically changes according to your overclock, this can improve stability. Also, you are right. You need to increase your voltage to stabilize. Maybe you could squeeze more juice out of it if you increased to voltage even more, as long as it does not exceed 1.5v your safe. as you can see i run my quad at 1.2v 24/7.
