Gaming laptop for 700 or less?

Thread Starter
I recently saw that m11x for 700 of the i5 branch, but then I saw the spec and was like mehhh. only 1ghz, and not a very good gpu, so I am now looking for something better for around that price, mostly I use to play Heroes of Newerth and Vindictus, and CSSource stuff like that.

it is of course cheaper the better because I already have a laptop (just not gaming) and I'm not looking to buy another one that's gonna be costly

smaller the better too, because I travel to school and play on my gap and lunch time, but it really doesn't matter.

honestly the m11x is probably the best small gaming notebook around. and 1GHz and non top of line GPU dont really hinder it, as it has a tiny screen

yes iknow, but i just want something better than that, because if i pay for a new laptop then i wanna play with atleast 30+ fps, and higher end hardware will last me longer in the gaming future.

The G50 is the first thing that came to mind for that budget.

If you bump your budget up to $900-1000 you can probably find someone around here willing to part with their G73. That's what I'd try to do. i7 with a 5870m. It handles games. I mean... it MANhandles games.

If this is of any help (and if you're a student) you could get the new HP DV7 laptops for $750. Mine's equipped with 4GB ram, 500GB HDD, 5650 Radeon 1GB and a triple Phenom II @ 2.1ghz. I get 55-70 FPS on Mw2 maxed, no AA. I used this laptop for gaming and it never gave me issues. The CPU and the GPU would max out at 65-67c which is pretty darn good for a laptop. I built a desktop a little while ago so i don't play on this anymore.

EDIT:
Mine's fully aluminum. The Dv7t on HP.com is black and I hope it's not plastic. Pick the 619.99 one and upgrade the video to the switchable 5650hd and pair it up with an i3 (equivalent of mine because it has 3mb of l3 cache). 719.99 with epa
