Crysis 2 Leak, Blame the Pirates? - Page 2

I also really don't think that the leak will hurt sales either..... Those who will buy it are still gonna buy it and those who are gonna pirate it have already played it all the way through.

Closed betas are usually friends and family of the company. You never know, someone could go over to a persons house, go "ooh beta of crysis 2, im gonna burn this on a dvd!" and then KABOOM, its on the internet.

There are tons of people tracking it as I did a peerblock test to check this out of curiosity and my peerblock got TONS of hits. Immediately deleted it and was like "Wow this is dumb".

Read this: http://www.overclock.net/windows/958...iscussion.html

Nobody is showing people how to pirate or posting any benchmarks of any pirated software.

Crytek has been alerted that an early, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and playing the final, polished game on March 22.

Crysis 2 is still in development, and the team is hard at work on it and Crysis 2 promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion.

Piracy continues to damage the PC development community.
So, MAGICALLY, an unfinished internal alpha, beta or whatever they wanted to call it appears on a torrent site and they blame piracy? Someone from Crytek leaked it. SIMPLE, it has nothing to do with pirates or torrent sites.

OH, and as far as i know.

I don't see how discussing who is at fault, is the same as the above quote.
