Somehow a copy of the game disappears each time someone downloads it...
Yeah I mean its apples to oranges, I just tried to come at it from the simplest point of view.

Its like the argument about piracy vs. theft. When you pirate you are stealing an intellectual property but not something physical. The water does get murky.

Hopefully after a year of law school I will have better tools for this argument lol.

Again you kind of ignored what I said all together. It's buyer beware. Its your job to research the product and feel comfortable with your purchase. If you feel you or the company hasn't provided adequate information about the product and you don't feel "informed" or "comfortable"....don't buy the product.

U say games don't get demos anymore because it actually hurts their sales? Well okay then, people are going to pirate this thing to the max, let's see how much that is going to hurt.

What makes me think people are going to pirate it? Well.. this game is just a stupid eye candy where we test our hardware... the multiplayer is worse than all COD bs combined together, no1 cares about it.

All of this reminds me of COD fans... they just go and buy ANYTHING that includes "Call of Duty" without even checking it out in one way or another... people like them made it so that we don't get any DEMOS, companies now think they can just throw it out there and get their moneys.. yeah no.
So like 99% of the consumer base then..

Honestly we are going around in circles and its giving me a headache.

I lean towards this. It's free publicity and advertising, also it was made very clear that this isn't complete/polished kinda like a demo.

<<< Steps over line..... Just kidding Ice

I honestly have not read this whole thread. I read the first one 2 days ago, and had enough of it then.

But I do have something to contribute.

This "Leaked Beta" (whatever it really is), in my opinion was done ON PURPOSE by Crytek. Everyone is always blaming piracy these days. This was their excuse to jump on that same bandwagon, and blame piracy a month before the game is even released.

I feel they leaked this on purpose, period. It's OBVIOUS it was done from somebody on the inside. It's just not clear if they did it intentionally as a company, or if it was a leak from the inside.

Either way, you guys REALLY need to quit discussing how to get it. Tips and tricks on how to make it work better, etc. That's EXACTLY the reason why these kind of threads keep getting locked and deleted. Because NOBODY can apparently respect the TOS anymore, and you guys all keep discussing ways to pirate this thing.

That is all.
