thermalright silver arrow one fan?

will the silver arrow perform ok with one fan in the middle installed i couldnt install the other fan because of ram on one side and a heat block on the other

I imagine it will still cool very well but obviously not as good as with 2 fans. It's arguably the best cooler out there. I'm sure it still beats most coolers while only running 1 fan.

What Ram do you have? If you have corsair dominators the little fins on the top are removable in order to make the ram shorter.

can't you mount the fan on the other side? the side on the other side of the RAM?
or flip the heat sink 180 Degrees?

I would go get something with a bit more umph if you only want a single fan. Like a 120mm x 38mm Scythe Ultra Kaze 3k.

May be a bit loud but you can turn it down with a fan controller.

A single fan might impact performance but Sandy Bridge chips usually run cooler than old i7's so you might be good.

Give it a shot and report back the temps under load using Prime 95 (32 bit/ 64 bit).

ill try it with one i could zip tie a fan to the other side since the clips wont work
