Thinking of adding a gpu to power a 3rd monitor

Thread Starter
I got a 15" monitor from work a couple of days ago and figured i'd hook it up and display temps and stuff like that on it.

I've already got two 24" monitors hooked up to my 460 so I'll need a second card. I've got a couple of questions to ask before I decide on buying a second card or not though.

1: Will a cheap card, like a gt 220 for example work or will I need to buy another 460?
2: Can my PSU handle another card?
3: Passive or active cooling?

I apologize if I asked any stupid questions, I only recently learned how to assemble a pc myself and am still learning I suppose.

You card can handle that one fine.

However unless it has HDMI the only way to use it is to hook one of the 24's up via HDMI.

but yeah a gt210 will be all you need. Passively cooled so it's silent, these cards aren't hot.

1. Yes a GT220 will work
2. Yes
3. Doesn't matter, active cooling is better.
