Processor vs Crysis ? Or is my card too fast for my CPU ?

Thread Starter
To the problem :
I've got GTX 470 1.25 GDDR5 (From Gigabyte) Some O.C stuff.
Processor Opened AMD from Dual-Core to Quad-Core. "BX 50" (Phenom II X2 550 BE) 8Gb of RAM DDR2 A-DATA EXTREME EDITION.
Playing Crysis (All at Very High):
GPU usage : 70 % Most of time (it bumping up and down.) 60 - 80 %
GPU usage at 50 % is 26 FPS
GPU usage at 99 % is 65 FPS (which will be nice if it's goes like that for all time)
Cpu 1 : 10 %
Cpu 2 : 15 %
Cpu 3 : 30 %
Cpu 4 : 95 %

The GPU usage is dropping down if i look to the scenery or somewhere where its alot of things before me (for example mission first morning sunshafts or sumthin like that (got it in Czech so sorry for translation))
And sometime in the fight if i getting shot or something look back realy fast and start running. So when i looking back its freeze something about 0,2 sec i dont annoy to that but its not pleasent if you got that freeze almost every time you look behind or fast turn.

I'l be very happy if someone will have some idea how to improve this. I belive its something have to do with the processor im using. Playing on computer that uses intel (my CPU beat it on the benchmark) but in the game its not doing this shtty things .

Thankx /Mcx/

If you having this freezes check if the hdd light is flashing. It may be getting something from the hdd and it slows down. If you turn around really fast your computer has to transfer those images to the ram and vram very quickly. Try overclocking your memories

OK so I've got 2 Disk one is 1 Terabyte. the Second one is 500GB . Both of them are from Seagate. I've ripped some of the space from that Terabyte disk and mended it up with the 500GB in Stripping. So Ã've got Disk E:/ 500GB Classic. And D:/ 1000GB Stripped. And on that Stripped disk I've got games. (better loading and something like that) but as it I think about that. Maybe the response time could be slow? I now going to run some tests and see if it will be faster on my SSD or not.

However thank you for idea.

OK so when i look somewhere very fast it's quite go up Active Time on Disk and transfer for that moment. But when i look up for example in Mision "Call me ishmael" in Crysis Warhead. So when i look up down the hill to the scenery. I've got GPU usage 85-90 % and Disk doesnt doing anything. I Try to overclock RAM a little bit.

Are you still running at the stock 3.1Ghz? That will hold the GPU back alot. What resolution are you playing at?

OK so Overclocking the memory didnt work well after few restart the screen stop responding and stuff like that (almost crap my self that i've burned it ). And yes i Run on stock 3.1 Ghz.

Should i Overdrive the CPU abit ? How much i can Overdrive it ? Got a new cooler with copper pipes or tubes or whatever although its 45nm so i dont think that is even possible to overheat that little baby.

BTW set my timings on RAM. To recommended 4-4-4-4-12. Gonna try it after overclocking my Processor a bit.

Well I have the same CPU and I can run 3.6Ghz at around 1.4v and 3.8Ghz at around 1.45v, so I would start around there. What resolution do you play at?

Also, fill in your system specs when you get a sec. It will be a lot easier to narrow this down.
Enter you system specs under USER CP and my system on the side panel. Tell us what your computer is "made of". We will gladly help your situation, and it could very well be a cpu bottleneck, although I'm not a pro at this so lets see what others say. And you can very easily overheat a 45nm processor, you can overheat anything from overclocking.
