Lian-Li PC V-354 mATX Case

Thread Starter
Hi,

I am ready with building up my first mATX gaming rig. Now I have ASUS RAMPAGE III gene, i7 950, Cooler Master Hyper 212+, Corsair 850W, and 2 GTX 580. I am looking for a mATX case with good enough air flow. I am thinking of Lian-Li PC V-354B, and I would like to know if the CM H212+ and 2 GTX 580 can fit in that case. I also thought about Da Box 100 but not able to buy it, the lan-gear website always shows "out of stock".

Any ideas? Thanks!headscratch.gif

The V-354 is a decent case. It can be tight to work in, and a bit of a chore; you might have to abandon that hsf choice too...

The DaBox 100 would be a much better fit, but they were produced by a complete unknown to the case market, so they may have just disappeared forever.

Thanks a lot for your input!

So the Hyper 212+ might not fit in this case? Is there any other decent heat fan that can fit in that case and has same or better efficiency?

Anyone can suggest the cooler with the best performance that can fit in this case? Many thanks!

Noctua NH-C14 - Link You can use the bottom fan for best clearance options.

OR you can hook up a Corsair H50 (h70 would be too thick, I've worked with this case before) Link

I used this cooler in a Core i3 530 build housed in a Lian Li V351. It fit with room to spare and easily took the i3 530 up to 4.0GHz with maximum temperatures staying under 70C. I'd expect it to handle an i7 950 up to 4.0GHz as well as long as you're not stressing it 24/7.

I'd replace the fan. CM fans tend to, erm, blow. buttkick.gif

Thank you ca.j.stokes and aznofazns!! NH-C14 has 2 fans, and I'd expect it can perform better.

Mind you, it's a bit on the expensive side. But, if you plan to overclock, you will not be sorry.

Happy hunting, my friend! thumb.gif
