[RP] AMD Bulldozer Benchmarks Leaked - Page 21

That great, AMDs bulldozer will be faster than the sandybridge. Heck by the time bulldozer arrives, Intel will have LGA 2011 ready.

So AMD (might have the better chip) for 3-6 months if this is true. I’m thinking about just giving up on my love for AMD. It’s been a long time since the Athlon 64 and AMD was king.

Intel has the best performance now, but that really doesn't necessarily mean at all they will have better performance again until there is solid proof. We haven't heard much about the performance of the Bulldozer chips except this and the fact that they'll be labelled "FX". It's unfair to simply assume Intel already wins.
well guys, we are going to have to give this dead horse a proper burial.

at this point, i will salute amd "fanbois" for their conviction and loyalty to amd during this "troubled" 5 years dry spell.

its been a long and hard road of dedication, and i do hope your get your reward for it.

but now it is time to leave you with these parting words:

while you have been holding on to dreams and hopes, i've been enjoying unrivaled performance and PHENOMENAL bang for buck for the last 5 years using Intel!

I got the names mixed up and got it all wrong. What I meant to say was the difference from Pentium (Netburst, that is) to Core 2 to Core i.
That's cool, only reason I said something was to point out the distinction between the single core P4, and dual core Pentium D.

ya,i agree ur statement,if not fanboys to support AMD, guess kinda need a thounsand $$ for buying intel pentium series.
those kinda say how goods of his cpu is it, even itself not fully use the potential the power of it.why not buy a mainframe? it can helps u to groundbreaking benchmark on it

thanks, appreciate your kindness what u write here, but i let u know.....some here not like urs, can judge as e-peen hero playing with the money just to show the current rig.most people here not so money waster, some even they buy what they need only.

i dislike say others here"use ur brain la, scolding like a dog la,blabla nonsense without a acceptable reason. i hope u not giving a stomp to our amd user, coz u r not professional here to make a argument here, do u agree?

why is everyone stuck on $1k intel cpu's?

intel does have plenty of cpu's in the sub $300 dollar category, sub $200 and sub $100.

and yes i was taking a stab at the amd-fanboi's.

they've been humping this forum and the internet for well over a year now with how "badazz" bulldozer is going to be, how it is going to kill anything intel has, and will finally return amd to its rightful spot of performance king!

for amd's current stuff, they make it sound like how it is just going to be all that better when bulldozer is launched, and if that argument fails, they will use the often misunderstood term of bang for buck.

take the x6 for instance, sounds great right? six physical cores, but when you compare it to intel's quadcores in this price range, it can't compete, so they switch the argument to how crappy HT is, and how when stressed HT will fail and that is where the 2 extra cores amd offers is better...and all i want to ask them is, do they even know how Hyper-Threading works, and why it works?

as for bang for buck, if i have to spend $220 to compete with a $240 dollar cpu from intel, then its more like bang for pennies...

right now, and same with a year and a half ago when i purchased my new setup, amd has the inferior product, i couldn't justify then going to amd x4 from a core2quad, and i couldn't justify now going to the x6 over a sandybridge or even a 1366 i7...i'm a programmer, when i go to compile a large program...that performance really makes a difference...i didn't buy it to have a epeen or large 3dmark scores...i did it to be more productive in less time...

None of the current generation Intel CPUs below $200 allow overclocking. Thus we don't want to spend on them.

so that is your argument huh?

that you'd rather buy the slower, outdated, cheaper amd line, cause you can theoretically "overclock" it...so you ignore all other features and improvements the architecture offers...you do know there is more to a cpu than clock speed right?

my pentium4 system was 3.2 GHz, but my pentium-m yonah (or core architecture) laptop was faster than it...

my self, personally, don't typically purchase into the sub $200 dollar range of cpu's, i usually find my comfort zone in the $250 to $300 dollar range, and the i5-2500k is there, which can overclock, so if i did decide to upgrade today, i would purchase that...

I said we (referring to the community), not I.
Personally I'd stick to AM3 - because this as a comparable low-end platform with similar or adequate performance ends up much cheaper even then.
