D5400xs memory problem, E1 code

Just picked up some new, to me, memory 8Gb of qimonda fb-dimm 800 to replace the 4Gb of 667 I had in the system. So I install the new chips and turn it on and get an E1 error on the board and no POST, as well as two sets of three beeps. I could boot the board with the Kingston 667 just fine. I set the bios to factory settings except for the RAID and still nothing and an E1 code with the qimonda. Iv tried all four chips separately one at a time and nothing that way either. So are we looking at bad chips?

put in your system specs, sounds like your PC can't handle 8GB of RAM

Intel D5400XS mobo
Intel xeon E5462 (2.8Ghz quad) x 2
EVGA 8800GTX
1100 W PSU
(currently) 4Gb Kingston FB-DIMM 667
Windows 7 Ult x64

D5400XS should take 16Gb of FB-Dimm 800, in no configuration do the qimonda chips work, Im thinking bad chips but I wanted to check to see if there were any other suggestions.

Ok so picked up some Hynix fb-dimm 800mHz and still got the same E1 error which is the same error I get when I have no memory installed.....BIOS is up to date, Ive tried setting the memory to clock at 800 and force 5-5-5-15 timings but still same error code and still no boot. Memory is warming up and getting power. Not quite sure what to do from here, revert BIOS? Im running Kingston 667 FB-DIMM currently, pick up an 800 mHz version of that?
