Thanks for all your help Moe.

And Xristo, there is a Review out there comparing Dual x16/x16 and x4/x4 setups and there is hardly any difference between the two. Granted it is an SLI setup, but the bandwidth issue would still be prevalent there too right?

and a new power supply just in case

That results in that review also apply to Crossfire (maybe not 100% exact but very similar).

Hopefully it's just a motherboard issue with me. It's gonna suck paying a 15% restocking fee for the stuff I just ordered just to return it hand have the same issue.

So the new motherboard worked out just great!

I bought a 750W power supply for basically nothing, but after all the zip ties and cable managing there is no way I am going to undo it all just to return it.

16x/16x crossfire > 16x solo > 16x/4x crossfire

$200 lesson learned.
