Intro: So I've been out of the loop with hardware for about 7 years now. I've spent the last two months getting up to date with the latest and greatest and this is what I've come up with and I really want some feedback. Thanks!

Use: Gaming, productivity, programming, algorithm development, parallel programming and general surfing.

Display: 47" TV + 27" Monitor.

Budget: Cap of $2000 for everything but I don't expect to spend more than $1500 on the computer.

looks awesome! If nothing else I would suggest a GTX 570, other than that you have a GREAT computer set up there.

Thanks for the feedback so far I updated the original post.

for the HDD get the western digital green. You dont need the black one since the HDD will be for data storage, not running the OS, so speed is not a priority. Also, i would recommend EVGA for any and all NVIDIA GPU's no matter what just for the lifetime warranty. The HAF-X is a great case if you dont plan on moving the computer around whole bunch. Lastly, you dont even need an 800W power supply. If you want to you could work with 650W just fine so long as it is a good brand. To be safe i would go at least 750W though. Corsair, Seasonic, and Antec make good PSU's. Corsair is the best IMO.

EDIT: Also, get the 128GB version of the C300 and you will be able to put the OS on there along with all of your most used programs. Then you can enjoy SSD speed all the time and you never have to wait! Since you can get a WD Green that will save you a few bucks too.

Ok, the 2TB western digital green looks good along with an Antec 750W since there's a combo deal for them.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.592970

Also, since the price of one 64GB SSD is less than half 128GB, would you recommend I get 2 of them instead? Install OS on one and programs on other? Or even better, would you recommend raid0 config with 2x 64GB SSDs?

I'm getting close to $2000, which is fine if I feel like I'm getting good bang for my buck. Keep up the good feedback guys and thanks again, I really appreciate it!

No problem! In raid0 you would have all that you need I think. Personally I would rather just have 1 drive, but if you dont mind then do that for sure. I dont know a lot about RAID though so make sure you are using the right version of RAID.

Just saying that because I think that the RAID 0 increases performance but keeps the same space as just 1 drive. Not sure about that one though. Like i said before I dont like to mess with RAID just because I like to keep the computer simple. With a SSD you hardly need more performance anyways

Using the correct type of RAID to add space from 2 separate drives would work just fine though, I just cant remember which RAID that is....

EDIT: As you can see here the 128GB version also offers better performance. That would be why it is a little more expensive. I would still go for the 128GB version myself
