As true as that is, they will be out by the end of this month or the begining of the next from everything that I've taken in. Yes, I'm assuming but there wouldn't be this much hype if there were not at least some truth behind it.

I say, don't do it. If there's any scaling problems at your resolution, it'll only get worse upon release of the 590. And we don't really know if the actual thing is going to be twin 580s or just twin 560s. I'm betting on twin 570s in all honesty, as I couldn't see twin 580s being cooled effectively enough, much less powered fully.
This.

I have an HD 5770 and I am perfectly happy until my next upgrade, which will either be in the next 6 months or year.

Whats with the insults man? I'm just asking a question. If I'm making a mistake then let me, I didn't really want your opinion on whether upgrading every quarter was bad or not.

You seem convinced, I'm just giving you my opinion. Why ask this question if you know that 3 cards is better? Must be some level of doubt here.

Well you probably can't sell them at full price anyway. But really what's the point? Are you trying to play Metro 2033 on three 2560x1600 monitors in 3D? Because if not then even your current setup is overkilling the overkill.

Yeah, I agree. What you have has nothing to do with what others don't. Otherwise, that excuse could be used to justify why you should never buy anything ever--someone will always have less--and why should you have to suffer as a result?

If you feel like it's worth it and you get satisfaction from it, then I say go and do what makes you happy.

You buying something isn't directly inflicting unhappiness towards others (aside from jealousy).

The OP doesn't have the cards yet.

You said that 2 cards was comparable or better than 3, I was just responding to that.

What I'm asking is whether 3x gtx580's are going to be the same or better than 2x gtx590's so i can decide whether to sell my cards. But thank you for your insight.

We don't really know how fast the 590 will be. It seems like it will be two 580s underclocked, but it could be two 560s overclocked. So I would just wait and see.
