WD Black 640gb $55 vs. WD Blue 1T $59 for WoW Fraps 1080p?

Hey all!

I've recently gotten back into WoW arena and rated BGs, and was wanting to fraps my matches to review and improve my game. On my spare rig, last night I ran SM on my lowbie Paladin to test out my HDD. I was easily able to lock at 30fps full size 1080p while pulling like 15+ mobs at once with Lock/Mage/Boomkin aoeing them down on max settings. Fraps was recording to a WD Black 500gb.

My question is, would a 1T Blue be able to handle the writes? I went on Newegg to buy an HDD for my main rig, but in my search, I came across a Blue for a decent price, so now I'm questioning the difference.

The 2 HDDs in question are:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136319

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136534

So for like $4 more, I can get +360gb, but can the Blue keep up with the Black?

For what it's worth, the rig with the 500gb Black basic specs are:
E8600 @ 4.3
780i FTW
4gb Doms 1066
470 slightly oc'd
300gb Raptor - everything loaded on it
500gb Black only for fraps
Antec SG 850

My main rig's basic specs are:
1090T @ 4.2
Crosshair Formula IV
4gb Ripjaw 1600
6870 in CF (2) 1000/1200
Agility 2 120gb - OS and WoW and other random progs
300gb Raptor - other games
-Insert Blue or Black here-
Antec SG 850

Thank you for taking the time to read this and offer help/advice. I'd hate to purchase a Blue just to have it not be able to keep up and have to deal with returning it, but the extra space is pretty sexy for $4.

Bonus question - Can either the Blue or Black handle Fraps with 3x1080p Eyefinity, or is that way too much to handle for 1 HDD?

Thanks again!

Or you could grab a Samsung F3 1TB, which will walk all over both of the drives you listed . They're $59.99 with free shipping off ewiz .

Purchased! Thanks for pointing that out. I've been seeing lots of talk here on OCN about the F3s, so I guess I'll give it a shot. First time ever using a non-WD HDD for me. Can't wait for it to arrive, and hope all goes well.

Is it safe to assume that Frapsing in Eyefinity would generate 3x the data needing to be recorded, since it's 3x the dispaly? If so, can 1 F3 handle that kind of write, or is that when I should start considering a Raid 0 setup?
