From the usage you have posted, you wont need more than 4gb ram. get a 2x2gb set, that way you will have the support of dual channel data transfer. save the money now, there will be plenty of things to upgrade later.

^This.

For gaming, you won't need more.

I was wondering if I should upgrade to 8Gb, but realized it was useless since all I do is Folding and Gaming, so no need for 8Gb, 4Gb is plenty!

well i got 8gb OCZ Blade ST 1600@ 7-7-7-21 with 1.66v try to find these kits very good ones. Though 4Gb is enough i only got 8 cause o found each kit for 80€ so why not right. The max i've used was 3gb something... And 4x2gb overclock as good as 2x2gb in my case

You can look for OCZ or GSkill or XMS3 modules with cas latency 7 (or lower, cas7 is pretty good for their price range), all of them are of great quality. Though I use XMS3, I would recommend GSkill ram because they are the best overclockable modules at relatively low price-range, couldnt find here in India for myself ( actually found it but the moron distributors charge twice the price for products they think are too elite for us, bloody stupid place).
