Help with a cooler <3

Thread Starter
So had the i2500k for a month and a bit now and still using the stock cooler, Its ok but after converting something last night for my ipod i got a bit worried seeing the tempatures shoot up to 70-73 Deg. What i cant understand is how people manage to overclock on the stock when the cooling for the chipset etc is fine just the temp on the cpu is way over what it should be.

Any ideas whats wrong or is it just the heatsink problem itself. I should mention that the chip is not overclocked and running defult box settings.

My question for you guys since you all have a good idea about these things is what is a good heat sink for around 20-30 pounds?

The cheap stock heatsink is the problem itself.
The cheapest CPU cooler I would recommend is the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+
Try finding it in a store near you / in a website that delivers it.

For that price range, I'd grab the 212+, as Izvire suggested.
