[BIT-TECH] SilverStone Fortress FT03 Review

The SilverStone Fortress FT03 is a beautifully made and capable case for micro-ATX motherboards. It cooled our test components competently and quietly and, once the initial shock of the internal layout had abated, it was easy to build a system inside the case. It’s also unique, both in terms of its external appearance and its internal design.

Whether the originality of its design is a pro or a con is up to you - not everyone wants to break the mould after all - but we’re rather smitten with the brooding monolithic looks of the FT03 and the quirky internal layout. If you’re planning a micro-ATX build and want to make your PC stand out, then no case will do a better job than the FT03.
It's such an awesome micro-ATX case. +1 for Silverstone.

I'm so tempted to switch to mATX just for this... i know a lot of people wont find this case good looking, maybe its just me, but i prefer cases which people find odd and weird, following the herd aint really my idea of having fun..

now my question is about htat slim drive... who will we actually take the DVD inside it out? i'd rather have something physical to press than clicking something... **havent read the review yet so apologies if its written there**

Really looking forward to this case, Silverstone sent me a black one to do a promotional build out of, and it should arrive this week. The only stipulations were that I have to watercool both the processor and a graphics card in it.......

Not my cup of tea, but it has an excellent aesthetic design and some very smart ideas for functionality.

Oh yeah, love it! Maybe I'll get one just for a little work station at my office. I just love the idea that you put it on your desk or nearly anywhere you want.

Really good design it's a little small inside... everything really tight and you must be careful choosing componentes...

Not really. You just have to pick an appropriate Matx board, and a (somewhat) low-profile cpu cooler, e.g. noctua nh-c14. (or something like it)

As the review states, you can fit the longest of graphics cards with no issue at all. And on top of that, just think of this: get an Matx board with SLI, get two gtx560's (which measure to 8.5inches each) and you have one solid gaming machine for the living room.
