[BIT-TECH] SilverStone Fortress FT03 Review - Page 2

Nice ssf case. Maybe I'll go small next time. Not sure when that will be though.

I just purchased a used TJ07 and I don't think I'll ever 'upgrade' again. Ever. Silverstone is cool in my
Book.

That case just begs to have the H50 in it! The diagonal fan on the bottom is a little out of place though. o.o

Absolutely, amazing...

Surprisingly the case is so simple and functional and because of how it's set up, and I can already see how I'll be fitting a water loop in there.

Not really. You just have to pick an appropriate Matx board, and a (somewhat) low-profile cpu cooler, e.g. noctua nh-c14. (or something like it)

As the review states, you can fit the longest of graphics cards with no issue at all. And on top of that, just think of this: get an Matx board with SLI, get two gtx560's (which measure to 8.5inches each) and you have one solid gaming machine for the living room.
There are shots floating around the interwebz of a Megahalem fitting in this case so it's not quite as cramped as you may think. A fan sammich like the Noctua DH-14 or Thermalright Silver Arrow with three fans mounted may have issues although you could simply remove the top exhaust fan for extra room and the fan above the power supply does remove as well.

Also whether or not you can run SLI/Crossfire will depend entirely on the PCI-E slot spacing of your motherboard or if you can round up a single slot card for the bottom spot. There are only 4 PCI openings in this case and there doesn't look to be much room for a dual slot card at the bottom of the motherboard assuming all of your output connections are located in the top slot of the dual slot card.

Lots of slots...I think I confused myself.

SilverStone has sent me out the silver version, which was FINALLY released from Canada Customs yesterday after 2 weeks so I should have a review up shortly after it arrives.
