HT link VS Rated FSB

hi

when i use the CPU-Z program

it indicates under "Bus Speed" >HT link


here pic:

when i looked on other CPUs pic

i saw on some of them it says "Rated FSB"

cpu-z 1.5 and cpu-z 1.56 ?

they have also raised the reference clock (FSB)

i dont understand you,.. do you say its due to the CPU-Z version

causing to display HT link or Rated FSB??

what do you mean "reference clock" > "bus speed'? "core speed"

anyway i didnt meant to those..........

i just ask about the HT link vs rated FSB thing

they stepped up their bus speed.
you also have a newer version of cpu-z.
lemme raise mmine and see what it posts. do it when i get home

Rated FSB should be called "HyperTransport link." This clock speed is the actual clock speed (after 10x multiplier or so) of the links on the board between the CPU and the RAM, and CPU and motherboard chipsets. But essentially they are the same thing.
The "Bus clock" is... well, a bus clock. Just a base clock that everything runs off of in multipliers. Similar to the FSB, but different in that this isn't the speed of the link between CPU & chipset also either anymore.
