Oh yes totally perfect logic. Dell buys AMD, but Dell keeps AMD name, HP/Acer/Gateway/Toshiba etc are all fooled even though Dell/AMD's files are basically public. If I was the other OEM's I'd stop buying Intel until AMD bankrupts and Dell is removed from the competition as stock holders flock to leave Dell after a $12B loss.
Sorry but buying AMD would mean the death of Dell and AMD. Why? First off AMD is not a $12B company. More likely worth $20b imo. Either way 12b or 20B it is far too much for Dell to put up specially after spending who knows what on marketing and customer service over the 2008~ Dell Hell fiasco.
As mentioned already by Duckie, Dell has no experience in CPU/GPU sales and would more then likely be a failure.
