Evga 570 fan placement?

Thread Starter
I was looking around on newegg to see if prices had gone down since the 560 come out and I noticed that the Evga card now has the fan in the middle of the card. I tried looking but haven't found much on the new fan placement. Does this provide better cooling, or reduce the noise? Personally I think the card looks worse this way but if it runs cooler who cares I guess.

The only difference between those cards are the ports in the back. The HD covers more types. As for cooler I do not know if there is a difference. I'd personally go for the non HD one, reference.

Also, I'm pretty sure the HD one is shorter in lengt because it uses a non-reference PCB.

So shorter and an extra Port are the only noticeable differences between the two? This just confused me since it still looked "referencey" not like the MSI twin froz. Thanks guyz + rep

Um no they do not dump air back into the case, that would be the non-reference card with the fan in the middle that would do that. Also I highly doubt the non-reference is using the vapor chamber heatsink, I'm betting its the same heatsink used on the 560ti so it might not cool as well.

um, what?

you buy from newegg and you get the 30 day return policy (typically) and I think you can buy a separate warranty through newegg, but evga already has excellent warranty programs which come with the product itself, you just have to register it within 30 days
