Unless you have the board , do not make comments like that adding to the mass hysteria. Anyways....

Newegg is now selling the 2600k and 2500k chips.
Still have to wait untill revised boards are out though if you want a mobo.

I have a pile of brand spanking new PC parts sitting in my room. Antec 900, TX750, 6850, 8GB Ripjaws, 1TB HDD, DVD drive, Hyper 212... all just collecting dust. Because the DAY before I was going to go to Microcenter to buy my motherboard and 2500k, Intel announced the recall.

This will be my first completely from scratch build, and my first decent performing build. And Intel only delays me further... I'm destined to never have this, perhaps

I've been stuck with my crappy laptop, which has been getting noticeably worse and worse.

I was finally going to get to play the many games in my Steam library that I had bought for dirt cheap during Steam sales... many of which I cannot run at all on my current computer

Fear not! SB mobos are already on the way!

If this is true, we may see mobos in retail much sooner than the projected April date!
I have been hearing limited quantities in March, and normal quantities in April.

lol the link says thier not on the way late march to early april is when you will see them and probly very limited for a few weeks while they use them to replace board that were sent in for rma.

UPDATE: Having now heard from a number of other manufacturers, and spoken to our rep at MSI, we've confirmed that MSI is not in the process of replacing motherboards just yet despite telling us "MSI has already began (sic) to replace all affected products" in a release received this morning. The actual hardware has passed all testing after leaving the factory, and replacements will in fact be shipping out "by next week". That's pretty much the timeframe that ASUS and GIGABYTE will be operating to, as well.

That is incredibly confusing...

I can't tell if the whole thing is "what they said before" or if only the first part is, and the boards have passed testing and will be shipping out "by next week"...

How hard is English, I mean seriously...

Did you even read the text you quoted? MSI, ASUS and Gigabyte will begin shipping replacements next week.

The article originally said MSI was already shipping replacements. They later amended it to say they will be shipping "by next week."
