I'm totally agree with what, but that video card configuration you need to get 120 fps on 5760 x 1920 res on high settings? on new games? even with two GTX 580 in 2D at that resolution can not get 120fps continuous.. So here i go one more time why go with 3 x 120Hz monitors for 2D ????

Like it's already been stated, you've got some pretty awesome hardware . Just get rid of your 3D kit. And use that badass setup as a 2D Surround kit. I'd take Surround over 3D anyday. But I wouldn't bother trying for both.

EDIT:
And the reason why you're getting such low FPS is because of your in game settings. Turn Crysis and Metro down some...it'll fix it. And there's a way to fix the res on Black Ops. I just forget how.

Hell, I'm still running GTX260's and they are plenty until I can grab GTX580's. Maybe by the time I can afford them there will be something with more than 1.5Gb on each card. (I know about the 3Gb 580's, but haven't heard enough to warrant buying them yet.)
Let me tell you something the experience playing MAFIA II in 3D is incomparable, you will really see the difference on 2D and 3D when i turned off the 3D vision was not the same experience, the problem is you would need 4 GTX 580 in SLI conected direct to the wall in order to run the rest of the games smoothly, i think the 3D vision SURROUND will become more popular in a few years. Nowdays we dont have enough support.

I like 3D Vision on a single monitor, its very cool and gives more immersion to the game. Competitively I'd only play in 2D though.

Kepler GPUs should do better with all this, for a good 3D experience you really want 120FPS minimum which is not easy at high resolutions/max settings.

yes but i think is not the idea, turn down the setting, i think everybody would like to play at max setting if you are using two GTX 580 SLI.. the 580s are the fastest card available on these days..

I believe you, I bet it's awesome, but I only upgraded to 2D last month so the novelty is still there. Perhaps when I'm ready for 3D the driver and game support (not to mention hardware and vram) will be in a better state.

That is very true. But you still don't have enough GPU power to pull 120 FPS minimum (required for 3D), at such a high resolution, on such taxing games.
