1055T Low Voltage - Stable

Thread Starter
I got my 1055T set to 1.1V,
CPU-NB at 1.0V,
NB 1.0V,
SB/HT 1.0V,
DRAM 1.65V
All set in BIOS
CPU Idle voltage is 0.940V

""Everything is set to stock clocks, No overclock is added""

Cpu load time in Prime95 33C Idle 20C (From CPU Socket temp)

Running Folding@Home on my GTX 480 only consumes 286 Watts which rads on my watt meter that my computer is plugged in too... and yes the PSU Power Efficency mumbo jumbo is added as well is it's probably consumeing about 168 Watts all together.

What do you think?

EDIT: When my computer is idle and nothing is running, My watt meter shows that it's using 117 Watts, includeing the PSU power efficency as well.

Pump a little more into it, i had my E5200 @ 3.7 on 1.3v for a long time and it weakened it, though it was stable it was still being undervolted a little.

Nice undervolt ^^ Requires just as much skill to undervolt as it does to overclock, and quite worth it.

You can set up your own custom Cool and Quiet like this with PhenomMSRTweaker.

I had my low power setting for my phenom II 955 @0.96v 2500MHZ, and my overclock setting of 4GHZ 1.51v for high power.

PMT is also compatible with AMD Fusion Utility.

Hmm, Thanks I think I will look into this right now

I'm just wondering aswell if I should risk trying my CPU under 1.0V?

You can lower your voltage as low as you want, but at some point it will become unstable, as certain freqs need certain volts, but you will need to test it

I thought undervolting makes your components last longer as less heat and current is going through them? Do correct if I'm wrong. Not that it'd matter since non-OC'd components tend to outlast their owners interest in them, we've still got a few 386's that my dad fiddles with, and a Celeron as a NAS here at parents' place.

Whoa, what case do you have, I'm running at 3.5GHz 1.29V, idle 33°C load 51°C, with the fan! What am I doing wrong?
