The game would still have to be pretty new for you to be able to get 80% of your money back.

So when you buy a game on Steam, you want to keep it for life, or until you forget the password to your account or it gets hijacked and stolen.
you do realize that retail is now competing with Steam by having the retail copy be a Steam version with preorder incentives.

I like Steamworks, but I only agree with you on one issue; the impossibility of reselling a game because it is tied to your account.

Its UE3. Look at all the trailers. UE2.5 can't do that. Trust me, I was a hardcore player of UT2004 and UT3 so I can spot the difference right away.

You know something? If you live in a place that doesn't have internet, or you simply don't want/need internet....

PC gaming? Not for you.

I hope your correct, but I would love to hear it from Gearbox themselves. Seeing how a Duke 3d fan game is being made with UE3, you would think the latest game would at least have it as well.

Thats Very Discrimitory, i know plenty of people who live in areas that they can barrily get above Dial-Up connections but Love PC gaming and have decent rigs (Most of which i built for them when they bought teh parts but still) and a couple of them i buy the game install it and then download the a crack to not have to use steam, and its better and easier for them to do that then have to wait for steam to randomly try to update things.
