GTX 570 resolution woes

Thread Starter
For some reason my PNY GTX 570 always defaults to 1280x1600 when it's plugged in via DVI. When it's on vga it seems to scale down correctly but with the stock bios and flashed EVGA bios it won't get off of 1280x1600. Anyone have ideas? Does it in windows, on boot and in gparted

Also tried with two different DVI cables (both dual link), both DVI ports on the card and two different U3011's. DVI out at lower resolutions (1440x900) work from the video card on a 19" Samsung using the same cables but I don't have any other high resolution screens here to test with.

Just use a PNY bios. Why are you even trying to flash?

Not having problems flashing, the video card isn't scaling correctly up to 2650x1600. The most that I can get out of it is 1600x1200, any higher than that and the monitor only detects 1280x1600.

Number one. Your sig shows two
2x U3011
The video card max dvi output is 2650x1600.

If your trying to connect 2-U3's =5120x1600. Sorry it wont work. Thats why it defaults to lower res.The height stays the same, but you have increased width by a factor of 2.
You will need more video cards. If you planing on gaming. Most games have a hard time with cust res.

I'm currently trying to run one U3011, one DVI cable plugged in with the mini-HDMI and one DVI port free on the card. This is just in Windows and not for gaming.

OK,

With the mini-hdmi there is some kind of an adapter.
This is (dual) dvi connector! It has twice the pins as a regular dvi connector. If it didnt come with a dvi cord, thats why. It has the (D) dvi. All IPS are (D) dvi connctors
Check the monitor box. It should have come with the (D) dvi cord?

The 570 had the d -dvi you need the cord.
