The included paste should be fine, but get some arctic cooling ceramique, AS-5, or Tuniq TX-2 if you plan on re-seating multiple times.

No need for another fan really. Might get like 2 or 3C with a push pull, but i don't think its worth the hassle personally. As far as thermal paste, MX-2 is great. It's better than Arctic Silver 5, and from my experience with it, it spreads pretty easy with a business card and gets great temps. And yes, you should spread it, I've seen instructions in some places that say the weight of the heatsink will spread it, but doing it yourself will cover it much better for better temps.

By the way, the 212+ is a great choice. Beautiful low budget heatsink and it performs almost, if not just as well as the Xigmatek Dark Knight.

I start with a grain of rice sized drop on my IHC, then spread evenly with a business card. Takes some doing, but it's not that bad. Then I put the heatsink on, wait a couple seconds, and take it off and see how it's doing. Usually there's a little extra so I clean off the heatsink's base, and put it on. That seems to do the trick.
