So my old PC which has an AGP HD3650 512MB DDR2 card has problems with random locking up and freezing when playing a graphics intensive game.

I thought the card had degraded until i had a discussion with another HD3650 user. A while back i sent my VBIOS to Sapphiretech cause it was showing as 2600xt for them to fix it. And they sent me a fixed one.
Upon looking the VBIOS versions it seems 10.078 is for the GDDR3 type HD3650 while mine is DDR2.
Is it possible he sent me the VBIOS for the GDDR3 card instead of DDR2? Could this be the cause to all those freezes or if he had, the card wouldnt even boot up?
In everest the Bus type is still shown as DDR2 though.

EDIT:
I just googled and saw that there are a lot of HD3650 owners with the same problem. I've tried a lot of different drivers and none fix the problem.
