What to buy...

Thread Starter
Okay, so I got a GTX 580 for $400 brand new.. Was happy, otherwise I wouldn't of done it for the normal $500 bucks

Anywho, I upgraded from an ATI 5870 and am probably going to sell it for like $215

So, I'm not sure what I should buy for around $200 -- I was thinking a new SSD. But I might wait till the Vertex 3's are out.

All my specs are in my Sig. I could also trade the GPU for Logitech Z-5500's in the expense of me paying shipping for both products.. (probably around $50+)

I'm really after to make my Corsair 800D look much better, or a controller

What do you guys suggest?

Is your 580 under water? That gets my vote.

Waterblock for your 580. That is what I would do at least. An SSD is nice but for the performance not worth it imo.

I'm really not a fan of waterblocking GPU's, atleast not currently. It just doesn't look that good to me :\\

Sleeve your power supply? Looks amazing and you'd have some left over to buy a game or something.

Done by someone with my skills on case management It probably would look worse. But from the rigs I've seen in some of the threads on here I think they make them a lot better than air cooling. I like the glowing light from the water tubes better than plain led lights.

Oh, I like the looks of the tubes and stuff. I just like the looks of the stock cooler showing off the power the GPU has, more so than keeping it under water. Especially since I don't really overclock the GPU.

Cable sleeving is an option I thought about doing, but I feel putting $200 elsewhere is a better idea, first.

SSD. You won't EVER regret getting one.

Or a dedicated Sound Card and a nice pair of cans.

Spending $200 to overclock a GPU a bit further is worth it but buying an SSD isn't?
Try out an SSD sometime, you won't go back to HDDs.
