PCI Gigabit ethernet adapter worth it or will PCI bus bottleneck the whole thing?

I see a PCI Gigabit adapter for $10 on Craigslist.
Yes, this will be used for large-size file transfers through a DIR-655 router between computers. Would be a very decent improvement over 100MBps.
But would the PCI bus bottleneck the whole thing, is what I'm asking?

PCI 32 bit 33 Mhz = 133 MB/sec shared between all devices on the bus.

If it's the only card on your PCI bus you can usually start coming close to saturating it, just keep in mind the underlying bus is half duplex even if your NIC's ethernet port is using full duplex.

Would that be in megabytes or in megabits?
Also about the half duplex - full duplex thing, basically it means no matter what my bandwidth is cut in half? i.e. 500MB/s (still an improvement)

133 Megabytes. Which is faster than 1Gb/s.

I have a PCI Gigabit NIC. I can get around 95MB/S.

133 Megabytes/sec
Compared to the 125 Megabyte/sec bandwidth of Gigabit.

It's not really cut in half per se unless you are sending the same amount of data as you are receiving. It's just a shared medium where you can either transmit or receive at a time. If you're starting to approach gigabit, your acknowledgement packets will start to eat into your downstream bandwidth, whereas with full duplex they would be transmitted at the same time.
