Large Laptop?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to replace my sig rig with a powerful, large laptop. Mobility isn't an issue seeing as how I already have a netbook.

How big do laptops get? 17" is too small to me, I'm use to my 23" Acer

Are there any 19,20,21" laptops? I want to avoid getting a laptop and hooking it up to a monitor, because then I need an external keyboard, and there goes my deskspace, which is what I'm trying to preserve.

17" is about as big as lappies get. Couldn't you just set your rig on the floor to preserve desk space?

Laptops only go up to 18.4" (Quasmio's are good models in that size.)

For larger, you'd want to look at All-in-One solutions. Though they usually don't have that powerful of GPU's.
The best I have seen is the 20.1" MSI Wind which features an HD5730 though it's only as powerful as a HD5670

I'm not very familiar with All-in-ones or what's quality, so I just found this one:

It's a few inches larger, $400 cheaper, and is i3 instead of i5. As much as I'd love a quad, it doesn't justify the price.

How good are the touchscreens? Photoshop usable? Or only really meant to seem interesting and fun?

As for the touch screens, besides quick browsing over stuff; they're not very accurate or precise. So something like Photoshop wouldn't be good.

I have the 20" 1920x200 laptop from HP, wish the MXM GPU was upgradable, but the 8800M GTS is still pretty decent. It has 4 speakers and a subwoofer, sounds surprisingly good.

Sorry, forgot to link it

Link.

So, what would it take for a touchscreen that IS of accurate quality? I know dell makes this $400+ 23" one that's good...
