Sorry for the double post biggrin.gif

3/8 open box things I've bought have been faulty all from newegg frown.gif

Kind of the reason I stopped purchasing from newegg. I usually buy all of my stuff from amazon these days, especially with free prime for college students. 1 day shipping for 4$ is so satisfying +the best customer service.

For sure, I bought my first 6870 from Newegg and it was a bad card, got another one from Amazon and it's perfect, I don't get free prime but I pay for it and it has definitely payed for itself nice price and they have chat with a real agent that doesn't copy paste answers, its great. Buying my EVGA GTX 580 for "only" 500 bucks and free shipping but I'll probably get 1 day shipping because I can and I don't want to wait for that beast.

I would contact ASUS to see what kind of warranty they have. Everything that gets returned to Newegg goes back to the manufacturer whether or not it is faulty. If the original packing is not present, ASUS will just put it in one of their plain boxes and send it back to newegg as an OB. If Newegg sold you a factory refurb as an open box I would be getting my money back.

I bought an open box GTX570 last night. Cost me $112 less than buying it from Frys. I normally buy from Frys since I have to pay tax at the egg anyways. Plus Frys has THE BEST RETURN POLICY EVER. Sorry but that is a big plus for me normally.

I will let you know what I get. I will also call ASUS after I receive the card and ask them about the warranty.

If you don't read this, it's YOUR fault and no one else's. There's a reason they put this up there. >.<<br />
Sorry if I must do this twice in the same thread...

Your counter argument is fail. Let me painstakingly take my time and be a douche in return (to a lesser degree because I am better than that).

1. Where does it say anything about a product being refurbished?

2. Where it say anything regarding warranty?

3. I dont care about missing accessories, nor do I care about it being refurbished. Warranty is all I care about.

4. Newegg does not do a good job distinguishing between refurbished and OB products, making it unfair to customers.

5. The point of this thread is to create awareness (due to the increased popularity of purchasing OB cards), not about my rant.

6. You aren't helping at all.
