Not exactly. I believe my card was actually factory refurbished, not as a consequence of OB item being returned. As someone stated above, there is an difference. If it was truly OB, it would have full warranty. Factory refurbished cards on the other hand does not.

I will let you know what I get. I will also call ASUS after I receive the card and ask them about the warranty.

I see, thanks for the heads up and let us know! thumb.gif

Actually there have been a lot of post says you will get a full warranty on any of the 3 brands with serial based warranties.

ASUS, MSI , Gigabyte.

I can only help with the experience I have, this should happen in a few days. I received my tracking number tonight; I am in the same state so probably Thursday.

It's common knowledge what you're telling us! >.<<br />
If you buy something used, AKA Open Box, Recertified, literally buying something Used from OCN, Ebay or elsewhere, YOU MIGHT NOT GET THE FULL WARRANTY!

Good lord. For someone of 650+ rep, I would have hoped you knew this! o_O

What he is trying to say is that Newegg doesn't say that you can get refurbished stuff. Just says open box, as in someone opened the box, may have used it or not and returned it. No where does it say it can be refurbished. They even have option of looking at stuff, one tab says open box and then theres one that says recertified, Newegg shouldn't put refurbs with open box items. So good lord for someone with 70+ reps thats trying to be a douche.

Are some of you ppl paid by Newegg or something? They're obviously not being forthcoming with the distinction between openbox and refurb.

So my ASUS 570 came in today. The box was clearly marked "reconditioned B stock". I called ASUS and was told I would still have a 3 year warranty, the card was made on 12/2010. I would not care if the card worked. It works but has a bunch of white squares ont he screen. Lucky me. i will see if NEWEGG gives me any grief tomorrow when I ask to return it.

It was a great price, had it worked I would have been ok since it would come with a 3 year warranty.

The card itself has not markings to indicate it is other than new.

I just bought an OB card and haven't received it yet, but I;m not understanding the issue yet. Can't you simply RMA it to the manufacturer? Might take a little longer to get the working card, but still way cheaper.

You don't understand the issue?

I received a product that was different than what I was sold. Had it worked I might have overlooked that.

Now I would have to pay shipping, adding to cost in case you don’t understand, and take my time to RMA. This also raises my concern for ASUS testing. They sent this card to NEWEGG on 2/3/2011 after “fixing” it. It is not fixed. How many will I get before I get one that works? How many times will I pay to return it before I can get a new one?

I understand this was luck of the draw. Some cards will work fine.
