SB is faster clock per clock, overclocked better, much less heat so = higher OC at lower temps so no reason to go X58. Unless you get used P67 is the way to go. You can fisn Core i7 under 200$ and X58 ~ 150$ used which will give 2600K a run for it money but if you are going for new stuff then 2600K/P67 is the way to go unless you can wait for BD or IVB.

If you're going to wait till April for the P67 re-release you might as well wait till Q4 for X68, the new Enthusiast platform to replace X58. Around that time Nvidia Kepler GPUs should be out, that is a worthwhile upgrade over X58/Fermi.

I'd say wait and then decide, esp when prices go down.

Ya i dont really want to go used, I know there isnt anything wrong with it but its just my thing. So i think im just going to go with the p67 when it comes back out. I know that the new chips were sent out to all the OEM manufactures i believe on monday, so that means new boards wont take that long to come out. Hopefully.

My problem is that i wont be able to afford the new x68 when it comes out, if it will be around the same price range as the the x58's were when they came out. I know it will be a way better investment but i just cant do it. I think i am just going to wait for the p67 though.

If you're building now I wouldn't go with X58, though if you have one already you aren't missing much vs the current Mainstream SB setups. Personally I'd forget about P67 re-release in April because Intel is releasing Z67 which will be an improved platform for LGA1155. The X68 boards will be more expensive because they're the Enthusiast platform but probably not too crazy.
