They already have a pseudo-MMO on the PS3 called Playstation Home. It was supposedly supposed to be better than Second Life but what happened? A bunch of perves asking girl avatars if they want to share pictures, thats what.

MMO's on the PC should stay there and as for EA, you guys are the reason the PC isn't getting enough love.

Even after MMO was popular I love games which are more in depth for offline campaigns than online... 8 Hours of gameplay offline = Fail in my book...

These game makers need to realize, games like Grand Theft Auto was and still are HUGE because of how in depth they were, and whether offline or online, they were/are a HUGE success & major fun!
Nobody's denying singleplayer experiences like GTA are enormously fun. But as long as they appear on the internet, day one, with a "RAZOR1911 GTA3.EXE NO-CD CRACK" then publishers stop caring about them, and turn to MMOs. It's not about what's fun, it's about what's profitable. And making things easy for pirates isn't profitable.

PCs and the internet might be around for a little while. PC gaming may have gone a bit 'arcade console' in the last few years but there will always be more complex PC games, which are the ones I mostly play. I thought combat flight sims were dead but DCS Black Shark is new.
PCs and their games are here to stay and so are consoles, and their ups and downs.
Anyway it's all generation Y's fault.

Edit: Pirating is nothing new. I remember a pirate copy of DOOM.

EA - "PC gaming is dead because whenever we charge $10 to unlock content on the game disc, people complain and pirate it."

Silly EA.

EA are clueless. The only direction pc gaming is going is upwards and onwards. The only question is at what speed and due to what real factors. Shoddy console ports, replacing classic single player games with MMO's (kotor3) are hurting the growth rate but other games publishers in time will step in and fill the void. If EA had their way all pc games players would be on a subscription based MMO for every second of play and if they wanted single player they would be on console using an internet fed diskless DRM system with biometric tied user system to prevent lending and piracy.

Think my post seems far fetched?

I don't care if games are higher resolution or better looking... that hardly matters anymore. Sure it's great to have a title that looks nice, but I want a solid single player campaign and I don't care if it looks about the same as HL2 did when it came out or like Crysis 2 now. I just want a good single player game that is done right. So far, titles are looking better but at the cost of making them much shorter, and while that pays off for the new generation of ADHD gamers who will buy anything at any price just to get a solid 4 hours of gameplay and only care about MP, I think it sucks.
