I think you hooked up your wiring wrong mate....

You should have double checked ALL your wiring to ensure it was in proper placement before you press that power button!

I have never had a motherboard that was bad from the word go, and I have put thousands of computers together... It was always a mix up on the wiring that caused a no boot... They have to test those motherboards at the factory, every one of them!

This isn't my first go round putting computers together either. I checked and double checked everything before I hit the power button. I may not have "thousands" under my belt but I've done enough for friends and family to know what Im doing. I thought it was my error at first so I went through all the wires again. Everything was where it should be. I had my buddy come check it out. Everything was golden. Thought maybe it was the PSU so i tested one from my other computer. Got the same results, no boot. Now if I jump the PSU i get power to everything but the fans that are plugged into the mobo. The Asus LEDs light up and everything. So there is power getting to the mobo but not to the fans. Something indeed was DOA with it.

Well to gtech if you have built thousands of computers you should know that no matter how many test are done at factory when it goes to resale that the company can mishandle anything i have worked on hundreds of computers and i have had DOA parts about 1 in 10 parts and i have seen a DOA mobo before. I have purchased one myself and it was DOA and i had grounding straps and rubber mat to work on and never opened the box until i was set and it still was DOA. and for having all wires in place the extra 6pin and 4 pin molex doesnt matter it will still boot to bios they are used to increase the power for the pci, sata, ram and cpu but not for firing the computer to bios. so i suggest you be so kind as to remove your insulting post on someone thread and apologize to plum for he has done everything correct in the methods of building his computer!!!!!!!!

Well new mobo come in on Monday. Got everything hooked up and voila! IT LIVES!!! Unfortunately I have one stick of ram that is dead out of a quad channel kit. Newegg won't RMA it because of how long it took Asus. Hoping Corsair will work with me and RMA it. This thing is a beast. It idles at 21* C with my Kaze's on low. Did some testing in Eve online, averages 200 fps! BC2 is a blast to play, usually one of the first to load and start playing on a new round. Taken 50 dogtags in the last 3 days of playing!

Corsair RMA's things basically no questions asked. Just make sure you still have the invoice from newegg. I RMA"d some RAM that was over a year old.
