Definitely. The Black switches are not exactly pleasant to type on, and even for gaming it's a matter of preference as to whether you would actually like them.

Browns are a good choice because they are like the reds, except with a bit of tactility. Topres are (IMHO) better still, but very expensive.

My 7G's Black switches are quite comfortable to type on for me, tho I haven't tested any other mechanical keyboard, they are hard, very hard to find in Argentina. My last 2 keyboards were a Logitech G19, and a Logitech Illuminated.
