Not to mention the fact that I was planning on going ATI for the video card and she is going to have a custom case of their direct competitor lol.

Anyway It was a MSI MB that came with it. Newegg had a combo deal for all of that.

I noticed Newegg has combos on Asus MB's and AMD cpu's at the moment though so I will probably be changing that.
Girls don't care if you mix-match Intel/AMD/ATI/Nvidia/Coke/Pepsi

Here are two cheap Nvidia cases:

Yeah but will any of the new video cards fit in those cases?
Not sure.

Chicks also digg acrylic cases. You could put green LED's in a clear one

K last question. I know this is wrong forum but...

Nvidia GTX 460 for $229 (EVGA)
AMD Radeon 6870 for $229 (Sapphire)

After I make that choice I'll post up what I have in my cart for a final judgement by you guys lol.

A 6870 will whip a GTX 460 even more decisively, and do so using less power draw.

Or if you want a green "good looking" case you could go the GMC TOAST.

A lot of software isn't optimized for a multi core CPU, but they still use the cores and the work gets done sooner.

I only said when a map was loading, nothing else. If an X6 is using the cores at a higher usage than an equal X4 more work is getting done.

just wondering, what is ur girl needing this massive rig for? You said she really doesn't push the limits so why so expensive? What games is she playing? You're worried about price but it seems like your building an expensive computer for someone who won't utilize it.......
