1090t serious help!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone I am having a serious problem with my upgrade i just proformed I just upgraded from a 965 x4 to 1090t x6. What in the BIOS I need to set to recognized all six cores. All my software like cpuz, core temp, speed fan, and windows cpu gadgets only recognized that I am only running 4 core 4 treads, not 6 cores 6 treads. What do I need to n the BIOS to run all six cores. Plus ill be overclocking to 4.0 then to 4.2 to 4.5. I need to solve this problem to make sure I'm running six cores first.

Thank a bunch. Look at my rig setup to give you clues on what have.

Start > search box > Device manager
uninstall the drivers for all 4 processors
Reboot
Windows automatically installs drivers and detects 6 core
????
6 CORES

If you haven't updated your BIOS also, do it now

This... Make sure the BIOS is 6 core capable. You may have an older BIOS that is not capable of recognizing 6 cores... yet. If the BIOS version is 6 core capable, go into it and make sure all 6 cores are recognized. My BIOS has the option of "turning off" cores. When I first boot up after a CMOS clear, I usually start up with just 5 cores and need to go in, switch the core management feature to manual and then turn on that last core. Not sure if your BIOS would work the same way though.

See if there is a Gigabyte thread that may provide you with steps on upgrading your BIOS and maybe helping you to "find" those lost cores.

I tried going into windows device manager and it didn't fix it. It seems like I don't have something in the BIOS setup rite. Now I do have the latest BIOS flash (F3j). I see n the BIOS there are new features that support that processeror. I have been playing with every combination. Now windows do see 6 cores in the device manager. But all the software and gadgets don't see the 6 cores weird? I'm stuck!!!!!!!!

make sure core unlocker is AUTO(Disable)
Try :
Start --> Accesories --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Boot Tab --> Adv. Option --> Uncheck Number of Processor box

If you're having too much difficulty in doing what was said above then you could always reformat.

Hello family, sorry for the no response I have been sick for the last couple of days. I just got back to my rig. I forgotten that needed to uncheck the number of cores, and now it run like a bat out of hell. Stable at 4.2 now. Thanks for reminding me. I love this 1090t soon 4.3 to 4.5. Stay tuned!

You what i am glad you asked me that because i was about to start a new tread on my temps. the reason for it, on my 965 each core temps were at 94F thats overclocked at 4.0ghz at adverage load, but now sense i put in the 1090t my core temps at 4.2ghz runs no higher then 75F at adverage load. i did use a little more thermal grease maybe on this chip, than i used on my 965, but the ultimate question is WHY??????
