CoolerMaster 120mm Excalibur VS Scythe 120mm Gentle Typhoon xxxxRPM

OK basicly I just would like to know what are the best 120mm fans for my Radiator for the best possible performance. I can only really choose from this site http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=9_510&vk_sort=1&page=2 or any other Aussie sites.

I have 3 of the Excalibur's allready as I was told they were the best, but now I read that gentle typhoons are the best, What is the Best!???(and which RPM) I want the best performance but if one is alot louder could you fill me in on that also.

I am about to get another Rad as well which is why I ask because I could just get all differn't fans and just use the ones I have for something else or give to a mate.

I wouldn't ask but I am finding it hard to read the spec's on the sites.

Many thanks in advance, Sir Overkill. smile.gif

Gentle typhoons are "best" because of it's noise and performance ratio. they are the quietest and pushes good deal about of air compared to other fans in its class

Thanks for the reply, I thought it was all about Static pressure for fans on Radiators and don't the Excalibur's have more? at top speed noise isnt a issue its more about how loud they will be at lower speeds. If anyone has anymore info I would be very thankful.

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

how about those fancy turbine masters? some reviwes are showing that those are damn good one fans. same noise lvl but fair much more air is moved as typical fans (like noiseblockers etc)

yeah, but coolermaster's rating is.. err over rated, cfm and static.

but seems like a lot of people are using the gentle typhoon series fans, at full rpm they produce least amount of noise but has good cfm when you put em against rad.

here's good read

I've got these. I couldn't find them on the site but if you can find these they are really good. I have 4 of them and couldn't be happier. Although they are quite loud. Personally I prefer the black and white fans.

When I was looking at fans I was looking at performance and looks more than anything else I knew I wanted black and white fans with a decent performance. The CFM on these us 76.3 which I thought was good because the others were lower. Combined these absolutely killed my 200mm CM fan, even when they're over rated. If you can find these and not too bothered about noise I would get these.

I have the H50 cooler and before I had these fans I had my clock speed at 3.9GHz with temps hitting around 56-58C. Now with these fans I have my clock speed at 4.0GHz with 54-55C.

If you're looking at performance more than noise getting something that moves a lot of air.

I just spent the last hour looking at that, thanks. but I am pretty sure it dosen't have static pressure ratings? or am I missing something?

It is mostly about Static pressure right? For radiators this is.

Also which Gentle Typhoon is the AP-15?

Thanks, Sir Overkill. smile.gif

those, nb are good fans but some claim that turbine masters from cm are even better.

Thanks but I dont think I can get these here, also I think the two fans im talking about have better static pressure.(im not sure though)

So which have higher static pressure? I am pretty sure they are measured in differn't measurements.
